The apartment is situated in the 18th arrondissement in Montmartre, one of the most authentic and mixed neighbourhood of Paris. The quiet and melancholic charm of small place (like Charles Dullin place) and the famous stairs leading to the Butte on one hand; a more festive and popular side, especially around the Abbesses and Pigalle on the other hand. That is why various artists such as Matisse, Picasso or Toulouse-Lautrec settled there in the late 19th century. Nowadays, the “bourgeois-bohemian” spirit is still present in the neighbourhood and many artists still continue to live there.
Villa Dancourt is located on Charles Dullin place, in front of “théâtre de l’Atelier” offering quality performances all along the year. This charming place lined with trees is reminiscent of what was once the peaceful village of Montmartre. The villa itself is preserved as it is in a private property.
You can find many food shops around the apartment, as well as cafés, pubs and restaurants.
The apartment
This seventh-floor, two-room apartment (48 m²) is very cosy and quiet with balconies in each room offering a stunning view of the rooftops of Paris. It is tastefully decorated: warm colours and parquet flooring make the apartment very welcoming and cosy.
The apartment features a small entrance (4 m²) equipped with large closets.
The living room (16.5 m² - south facing) has a large glass door leading to a balcony (width: 0.70 meter) from which you can scan Paris from East to West and where you can enjoy meals (table and stools provided). The living-room itself is composed with 2 comfortable leather armchairs, a coffee table, a buffet, and a round folding wooden table with 2 chairs.
A glass door leads to the bedroom (14,50 m², South facing) featuring also a balcony with the same amazing view of the rooftops of Paris. It is equipped with a double bed, 2 bedside tables, book cases, a desk, a mirror, and a beautiful Venetian style chest of drawers. A walking-closet is adjacent to the bedroom.
The kitchen (7 m², South facing), in front of the entrance of the apartment, is equipped with all the cooking and eating utensils you’ll need, a oven, a microwave, a fridge, a freezer, and a washing-machine. It has also a small bar and two stools.
The bathroom (4 m², South facing) is also adjacent to the bedroom and has a window. It is fitted with a sink and a hip bath with a shower.
The toilet is in a separate room (2 m²) at the entrance of the apartment. It has a small window.
