Jardin des Plantes is a pleasant and central neighbourhood in Paris’s 5th arrondissement on the Left Bank bordered by Rue Monge and the Université de Jussieu.
With all the shops on the nearby Rue Monge and the restaurants and bars on Rue Mouffetard, the neighbourhood is bustling both day and night. An open-air market is held every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday morning at Place Monge, only minutes from the apartment.
The neighbourhood is a short walk from a number of the main tourist attractions, making it the perfect starting point for anyone wanting to explore the city (the Jardin des Plantes and Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle are only a 2-minute walk away, the Panthéon is a 10-minute walk away, and the Luxembourg Gardens and Notre-Dame Cathedral a 15 minute walk away).
The neighbourhood is near public transportation (the Métro will get you to the Louvre in 7 minutes, and the Paris Opera or Les Grands Magasins in 10 minutes).

The front entrance leads into the bedroom, which looks out onto the private yard.
Being away from street, the bedroom (7 m²) is very quiet.
